Remember 34

Remember 34 is a group dedicating to remembering the efforts of the labor organizers who made Minneapolis a union town in 1934.To mark the 80th anniversary of the Teamsters’ Strike, the group has scheduled a full roster of events for this weekend. Tonight is movie night at the Bell Museum. Saturday brings a street festival–featuring music and speeches–at 7th Avenue and 3rd Street North. And Sunday starts with a bike tour of the geography of the strike. The tour will begin at Peavey Plaza at 10 am and finish at Minnehaha Park, where there will be a picnic to honor the memory of the strikers.
